Tsinghua University (THU) School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) and the University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering have established a partnership funded by alumnus Deng Feng, encompassing extensive collaboration in education and research.

One significant aspect within this collaboration is the Undergraduate Summer Exchange Program which aims to foster students' awareness towards innovation, enhance their academic innovative capabilities, as well as promote robust educational exchanges between faculty members and students from both institutions.

The Undergraduate Summer Exchange Program enables participants from each institution to engage in collaborative research projects under the guidance of professors at their partner university. Each student is assigned to a specific laboratory alongside a fellow student partner for support throughout their participation in this program. Moreover, by immersing themselves in another country's culture during this experience, participants can broaden their perspectives while gaining insights into diverse research methodologies.
