On the 29th September, Peru’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr. Luis Quesada visited Tsinghua University, and attended the 12th “Vision in Tsinghua, Dialogue with Ambassadors” event hosted by Prof. CHEN Taotao, Director of Latin America Center, Professor of School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University.

Tsinghua Landmarks｜The Science Building

The Science Building, located southwest of the Auditorium, faces the Tong Fang Hall or the Tsinghua Xuetang. The red-brick rectangular three-story structure was designed by a famous American architect, Henry Killam Murphy, and its construction was completed in 1919. It has a reinforced concrete design, covering a total area of 3,550 square meters.

Tsinghua Global Summer School 2021 Kicks Off

At 9:00am Beijing time on June 28th, Tsinghua Global Summer School 2021 (GSS 2021) officially kicked off. 1,035 outstanding young students from over 151 universities in 96 different countries and regions gathered together on the “cloud” for the opening ceremony. Tsinghua University Vice President and Provost, Yang Bin, delivered a welcome address, and Ms. Beate Trankmann, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Resident Representative in China also attended online and gave opening remarks.

International students motivated by President Xi’s letter

On June 22, Chinese President Xi Jinping has encouraged overseas students at Peking University to gain a deeper understanding of China as it really is, urging them to share their thoughts and experiences with more people and play an active role in promoting friendship between the peoples of all countries.

The first forum of the “On The University” series was held at the New Tsinghua Xuetang on April 12, with the topic of “Tsinghua- A Global University".
