At Tsinghua, international student clubs and associations play a vital role in building a diverse campus culture and promoting exchanges and integration between Chinese and international students. These clubs and associations bring together students from various countries and, through organizing distinctive activities such as exchange salons, thematic lectures, and group visits, convey a “home-like” warmth and sense of belonging. Meanwhile, they also help international students integrate into the campus, broaden their horizons, enhance their cross-cultural adaptability and global competence, and strengthen their understanding of the China and identification with Tsinghua, thus providing a broad space for the common growth of both Chinese and international students.
So far, there are 15 national and regional associations under the supervision of the ISSC:
